If you’ve got a dark coloured car, especially one that is driven every day with a few mild swirl marks, and you don’t own a machine polisher or profess to be an expert detailer, this is the wax for you… Why? Well, for a start, Purple Haze is ridiculously easy to use. Secondly, it will help mask minor swirls and defects in your paint. And then it will add gloss to your paintwork and also protect it with a thin layer of carnauba wax, making it easy to clean in the future.
But 30ml, that doesn’t sound like a lot does it? Well, we estimate an average sized car like a Golf would take about 8ml of wax to coat it. So you should get a good 3-4 layers from this pot –
each layer lasting 2-3 months before the wax naturally wears off (on a daily driven car) and needs recoating. If your car is a garage queen, then once a year may be enough. Add the fact that this wax has a soft texture and delicious fragrance making it easy and enjoyable to apply, and you can see why Purple Haze is historically the best selling Dodo Juice wax. Shine, sheeting, beading, warmth, depth… whatever you’re after, Purple Haze delivers as only a substantially-natural wax can. Sure, sealants may last longer but they may not have the same depth to the finish, cover marks as well or be as easy to apply.
This wax also contains a purple dye to enhance and tint dark paintwork by 2-5% depending on layering, application and substrate. It’s no cheap respray, but it does work well on black, dark blue, dark green and grey/gunmetal/titanium coloured cars – especially metallics and pearlescents.
