The restoration compound is the first step in the headlight restoration process. Purpose-built chemistry cuts through the oxidized surface layer on plastic headlight lenses, removing damaged material and revealing clear plastic underneath. The process can be done by hand for moderate cases or with a polisher for heavier oxidation, giving DIYers flexibility based on headlight condition.
