The Amerex B500 is a 5 lb ABC dry chemical fire extinguisher rated 2A:10B:C, and this set includes two of them so you can protect more than one area at a time. Most home fires start in the kitchen or the garage, and one extinguisher buried in a closet is rarely close enough to help. With two units you can mount one near the stove and keep the second in the garage, workshop, laundry room, basement, hallway, or a vehicle.

Because it is a multi-purpose ABC extinguisher, it handles the three fire classes homeowners and small businesses actually run into.
